I don’t seem to know how to access past copies. At 89, navigation is somewhat difficult.
As a resident of Japan for 70 years, I’ve always enjoyed flipping the pages, reading the editorials, and scanning the “Want Ads.”
JT’s wide variety of coverage appeals to its readers around the globe.

Needs IOS dark mode option
The only reason I’m giving this app one star is because it’s rather stupid they haven’t updated this app to be in sync with Apple’s iPhone dark mode option as of yet. Is it because they are avoiding updating this app because they are afraid they have to list the privacy acts within this app mandatory by Apple or get removed from the App Store I wonder? 🤔
Widget Function
I love this app since it offers Japanese news in English—which many news apps do not offer. However, it is such a shame that it doesn’t have a widget function! Having a widget function will allow me to read news articles easily, without having to click the app every single time! News, especially, is an extremely important information that everyone would want to read daily, so could you PLEASE ADD the widget function to this app? Thank you so much :))
