2012年製MacBook Airでも！
新しい機種ならSidecarってのがありますけど、わたしのは古いので対応してないんです。…で、見つけたこのアプリ。良いじゃないですか〜☆ 古いMacBook Airと使っていなかったSim無しのiPhone(6plus)をUSBで繋いでディスプレイ化に成功しました。7分経過すると「有料版の購入」を勧められてデュアル化が一旦解除されてしまいます。タップすればまた7分繋がりますけど、無料の体験版ですから仕方ないですね。(星４つの理由です。)
凄く便利ですので、新たな機種やモニターやタブレットを購入するのと比べれば100分の1以下の値段で済むので、有料版を購入したいと思います。
制限時間が…
MacBook Pro 2017とiPad Air2を繋いで使っています。特に動作に問題はないのですが、7分の制限時間ごとにパソコンの画面が切れてしまうのが少々厄介です。無料版なので我慢ですが^^;
Mac miniのメインディスプレイとしての使用
Mac mini(M1)とiPad Air(第4世代)の組み合わせでメインディスプレイとして使用できないか検証しました。
事前にMac側のアプリで「ログイン時に起動」を設定していても、ログイン画面はiPad側のアプリに出力されないのでだめかなと思いましたが、ブラインドタッチでパスワードを入力することでログインできました。
スイッチオン→ジャーンの起動音→念のために20秒ほど待ってブラインドでパスワード入力→ケーブル差し直し
といった流れで無事使えました。
力技ですがモニターの故障など緊急時にはいいかもしれません。
スリープ状態からも同じ手順で復旧し使用できます。
