The map, which extends out from your current location, is based on the real world. Actual landmarks and buildings are used as PokéStops and Gyms, so get close and tap them. PokéStops are where you can acquire items such as Poké Balls and potions; at the Gyms, you can battle with the Pokémon of rival teams for control.
Before a Raid battle begins, a Raid egg will appear on top of a Gym and will hatch to reveal a legendary Pokémon. If you co-operate with nearby players and defeat the Pokémon that emerge from these eggs, you’ll get a chance to make an ally.
Trade the Pokémon you catch and train them for battles. When you don’t have enough candy to strengthen your Pokémon, set them as your sidekick and walk together. Remember that for Raid battles, showdowns with the evil organisation Team GO Rocket and the GO Battle League, having strong Pokémon is essential.
Add to all of this the fact that you can meet Pokémon from different regions including Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova, and you can look forward to all the fun of filling in the Pokédex.
