공증이란 국민의 일상생활에서 발생되는 거래에 대해 인증받은 제3자(공증인)가 해당 거래와 관련된 특정한 사실이나 법률관계의 존부를 공적으로 증명하는 제도입니다.
쉽게 말해 사적 계약에 대해 공적으로 인증받은 공증인이 해당 계약에 대해 증인 역할을 하도록 하는 제도가 바로 공증 제도인 것이죠.
