M-PESA 4+

Why did i not discover this earlier??? This is the best mpesa app ever. Everything is great. Where do i start? The interface, showing how much spent, adding favorite till numbers for easier and faster payment, one step pin approval etc. i was using the old Safaricom app till Safaricom forced us all to upgrade. Nkt. The new Safaricom app doesn’t work on iOS!! And the reviews on it are very negative Because it has so many issues. It is pure garbage and doesn’t compare to how superb this one is. Don’t ever change this one. Its perfect!!!

Top dashboard focuses only on ‘Spend’ which is limiting and not telling entire financial story. Since we live in a month by month economy., would be nice to delineate the dashboard to read as much Monthly data as possible, e.g 1. spend by types (family, shopping, withdrawals etc 2. Receipts by type (from individual, business, etc) And from this to enable one still down to specifics under each. Also would be good to have ‘money in’ trend lines to compare against ‘money out’ trend line already provided. Otherwise the statement search functionality is great and the fact you are able to download portions of it according to ones slice and dice criteria. In future you can improve Home dashboard to read year to date data with user able to select which months of the year he wants to see.

It makes M-Pesa soo easy to use. The small change of switching to a phone using Face ID in place of fingerprint is just the added two seconds I have when doing transactions, because usually I’ll be out paying for stuff and with a mask on, which won’t work with Face ID, but it’s not a big matter- using the app remains soo much better, safer convenient, and faster than the regular way 🙂
