Airbnb is a platform for scammers
I had a very bad and frustrating experience with using this platform.
I booked a stay in Istanbul. Money taken from my card. Host confirmed booking. But hosts here usually don't speak any English. They don't respond in the app messaging section. One have to track their Whatsapp and communicate on conditions like where to get they keys for the premises.
And the host asked me to cancel the reservation in thr ladt minute before check-in. The host told she didn't know how to use the app and can't cancel from her side.
The Support service of Airbnb are pathetic. They send you articles protecting themselves instead of actually hepling you to leave a review on this type of scammers and sort them out in order they don't ruin travellers' plans in the last minute.
If you are scammed, yiu can't leave a review. This is the way the Airbnb platform designed.
It's a platform that hosts scammer hosts.
