Description

Water Rangers field app is your digital field notebook for water quality data collection. Convenient, easy to use, and beautifully designed.

Water Rangers iOS field app is your digital field notebook for water quality data collection. The app is designed to allow you to quickly and easily enter your water quality test results right from the field. Once you create a user account for yourself or your group from our web app (app.waterranger.ca), you can begin to use the field app.

Add data to your existing locations: easily add your sample results, weather data, photos, and wildlife observations to your existing locations.

Create new locations from the field: sampling a new site? You can add a new location right from the field using the Water Rangers iOS app. Once it’s created, you can begin to add observations for that location straight away from the field.

View your historical data: Access your historical test results for all your locations using the iOS field app.

Offline feature: In the field collecting water quality data? Great! We’re thrilled to offer an offline feature. No data plan? No reception? No wifi? No problem. Enter you field observations from the field, and upload later when you’re back

Available in French and English

If you're offline, we geolocate to your location. You can submit your observation, and it gets held on your phone. Once you return home, go to "Offline" in your menu and click "Upload Forms".

How to use it: Use your Water Rangers login. To create a new observation or issue, click on the map, or hit the "Add" button in the menu.

This tool provides you with an easy way to record observations when you're out, something a lot of our users have asked us for. Visit the Water Ranger's website to view data and join groups.

Please note: while we use GPS to position you, we are committed to respecting your privacy and will not track location while you're not using our app, nor share it with others!

What’s New

Version 2.1

Version 2.1 of the Water Rangers’ iOS field app includes small bug fixes as well as feature updates. Now, when you log into the app, your groups’ existing locations are available for you to add data to. You can add new sample sites, and view historical data for your groups. Locations are now sorted by proximity, and include your distance (in km) to these sites. We’ve continued to improve existing features, such as offline mode and the order of our observation and data entry page. Available in French and English.
