Golf Zero

Crazy Platforming Golf

Think golf is a sedate game for retired people? Golf Zero proves it doesn’t have to be.

This ingenious mash-up combines the physics and careful strategy of golf with the precision controls of an unforgiving hardcore platformer.

You run and jump your way over an obstacle course of spinning saws, falling rocks and spikes, to get close enough to the hole at the end to make your shot. Just like a real golf course, right?

It's golf – sort of.

Golf Zero is not just two game concepts pushed together. You might have to make the final shot falling through the air, or having jump-bounced off a wall with the open sea bobbing below you.

That’s where the action movie moment comes in. When you hit the aim button to start swinging for your shot, time slows for three seconds.

This lets you aim even if you’re flying through the air at terminal velocity. Sink the ball? That’s the level passed.

However, there’s much more to master here. You’ll only receive a level’s gold medal if you complete a second objective, such as using just one ball or popping the red balloon found in each course.

Believe us, becoming a Golf Zero pro takes real skill after the introductory levels. But when you get there, you can try out the ultra-tough speed-run courses and compare your times with the best players from across the world.

We’re not quite there yet, but when Golf Zero already has 80 levels of increasing difficulty to tackle, you can’t really blame us, can you?
