Description
Handwriting for the new Primary Curriculum.
This application helps elementary school children to practice their handwriting skills on the iPad using their finger, a pen or the Apple pencil.
In a first step, children will learn how to form individual letters. Then, they will be shown how to join them together.
The program features a little ladybird that learners can follow as they trace a letter or word
The application provides different ruling layouts and some basic vocabulary. Furthermore, you can customize the font size as well as add your own words.
The program automatically joins the letters correctly.
In addition, parents or teachers can create printable worksheets with tracing exercises or cursive writing assignments on ruled paper. Thus, having worked on letter formation on the iPad, learners can use these complementary worksheets to practice with pencil and paper.
This appilcation is based on the program Primtext, which many elementary school teachers use to create their own handwriting practice worksheets.
Will this be a new way of how school children develop handwriting skills in the future?
"Griffel" is the German word for "slate pencil", a writing tool used during the last century.
