Smart dot should be upgraded.

The app itself is fine. It doesn’t malfunction or have a delay with the bluetooth connection.
BUT : there is a big flaw using the ‘ smart dot ‘ product.
The product it self is well made and great but the settings are almost ridiculously limited.
It ONLY plays 5 mins at a time when its turned on
and the time setting option is no help since it maxes out when it’s set for 8 time setting.
And the time settings don’t even let you choose
how long you want the machine to play.
Let me choose how long the laser will be on.
(Upgrade with this will be crucial.)
Usually a plugged in , app using devices have these user friendly options. But this doesn’t it’s just 5mins each time, you can’t change it.

I have to set the timer every single time I use it(since cats wanna play with laser randomly through out the day and each time they play for hours at end.) or turn it on every 5mins. This is the reason I’m currently not using this product.
At the least minimum ,there should definitely be just a continuous ‘ON’button.
Don’t make users turn it on every 5mins.

Plus there is no speed option for this product.Currently the lasers on the market is about 1/2 ~ 1/3 price of this product.Those products all have two things in common which is ON Off button(30~40mins of auto playing and off ) + two speed settings(slow & fast) . So I don’t get why they made such a good sturdy product and didn’t make the most of it by maximizing the settings. It’s just such a waste of a good product.
