Poe lets you ask questions, get instant answers, and have back-and-forth conversations with AI. Gives access to GPT-4, gpt-3.5-turbo, Claude from Anthropic, and a variety of other bots.

Poe includes both free and subscription bots. Payments for subscriptions will be charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renew may be turned off after purchase by going to the ‘Manage Subscription’ page in settings. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable. The subscription will renew at the same cost.

So many models for free

Why bother with the official ChatGPT app? Poe has the same model, and many better ones, with generous free access. I can try a prompt on 3 or 4 models and usually one will be noticeably better. All synced up with the desktop website too. Seriously powerful and legitimate app.

Used to be good

Since I started using Poe about an year ago, I’ve been a huge fan. I use it almost everyday, whether it be for educational or just passing time, seeing it improve was definitely a good thing but, now the sudden changes with no prior updates for the customers/users is just… not the way to go. Recently they implemented a paid subscription base, which I completely understand. You need the money to run such an amazing app and to provide all these AI models but, you can’t necessarily put a pay wall on AI’s that are absolutely free elsewhere and not to mention many of the majority-user based regions are unavailable, so everyone is just stuck. Especially with a 100msg limit every 24hr, that’s just beyond bizarre. You need at least ten retries to get a decent answer to begin with, let alone a decent convo.
