Alipay is a leading open platform for payments and digital services in China.
Users with a Chinese ID and bank account can use Alipay to make payments online and in person at various merchants outside of China as they travel for leisure, business, or study.
Foreign visitors to China can connect their credit card to take advantage of Alipay’s widespread acceptance by tens of millions of merchants across the country. Alipay is not designed or intended for use by foreign users in their home country or anywhere outside of China.
With the users' permission this app can connect to Health [HealthKit] to enable users to participate in walkathons and make donations via the "sports" service. This feature is designed for use by Chinese users in China. It is not necessary to enable this feature to make payments.

I wish I can use my outside credit card I have AMERICAN express I have visa and Mastercard issued outside china unfortunately it’s not acceptable to use it and link it 😩 my Chinese bank account about to run out
Scammers
I’m pretty sure they gave out my bank information, or the server for international / overseas clients is hacked. Instantly after I put my bank information it says that my card is not accepted because a risk is detected. On the same day over 2000 USD was being charged to my card for UBER and LYFT... luckily I use a debit card which I didn’t top up yet
