The best of all worlds
This is really great...it has both the vertical and horizontal scrolling option - this is were it took its stars from me. I am a student , who is always on the go, the filling system works great and even the OCR . The only downside for this app is, it has a little bit of lag in each and everything I chose, there is a handwriting change , it lags than goodnotes 4, why is that . Yes, I know this is a newly released app so this might be rectified soon but this bothers me. Kudos, to the team. I hope it increases the fluidity of writing and user interface.

Needs improvement
Whenever i choose the texting feature and use it for a while, the app closes by itself. I’m sure it’s not my ipad that has the problem because it is new.
The shapes feature isn’t too pleasing .. doesn’t help me get proper squares or rectangles.
When drawing a straight line using the shaping tool, the line moves to another place, either a little but above or under where I originally want the line to be.
I loved GoodNotes4 so much and i know i’ll love the 5th version of it more if they tweak it soon.

One thing I wish to be added to this app is handwriting recognition. I know we can use the pencil in the Text Field but it's not confortable like writing on the page itself.

This app is in my Top 5 List. I liked this app even more when I started using it to comment on my PDF files.
I used the defualt PDF markup tool in the "FIles" app, it was fine but lack a lot of "neccesary" options. What made me stop using it at all was because it wouldn't sync with iCloud and all my comments have disappeared.
Then I started using the Acrobat Reader (with subscription) and still not convenient.
Then I started using GoodNote for that, and I was amazed on how easy and convinent it is.
What I wish to see in the iPad version is the "Comment" feature and calligraphy pens.
