Protect yourself from sunburn
Everybody loves a sunny day, especially when you’re on holiday, soaking up the rays with ice cream and a paperback. But UV rays, like most things in life, should be enjoyed in moderation.
If you’re going to be outside for any length of time, you should wear sunscreen, and regularly reapply it. We can’t stress that enough. And UVLens from Spark 64 is here to help, too.
With a display that couldn’t be clearer – if there’s danger, little fire icons will light up – it tells you what the sunburn situation is at your chosen time and destination. 6am in London? No UV. 1pm in St Lucia? Four alert symbols.
The app will personalise advice to you. Be sure to let it know your skin tone and hair colour, enter what sunscreen you’ve purchased, and what you plan to do today (just relaxing, perhaps, or sports and swimming?). It can suggest when to come indoors and remind you to reapply that sunscreen, with notifications so you never forget.
