Edit Portrait Mode Photos

Bokeh might be an unfamiliar word to you – but it’s definitely a concept that you’ll learn to love if you’re keen on taking great portrait photos. And photo editing app Slør will help.

When people talk about “bokeh” they are referring to the appearance of the out-of-focus sections of a photo. Using Portrait mode on an iPhone with a Dual Lens camera, you no longer need an expensive DSLR with a fancy lens to get this beautiful effect. And, Slør is designed to help you make even more of this feature.

The sliders in Slør let you enhance the bokeh blur in your Portrait mode photos.

When you take a picture in Portrait mode, the camera not only saves the image itself, but also retains information about the depth between objects in the picture. Slør uses this info to let you enhance your pics.

If you want the background to be a little bit blurrier, use the slider. Perhaps you’d like to change the point of focus? It only takes a tap on the photo.

There are also options to simulate certain effects, such as “macro”, to create that idea that the subject is very tiny and you’re zoomed all the way in. “Tilt”, meanwhile, makes it look as though the subject of your photo is a tiny model.

Slør is a great way to improve your photos – even if you’re new to bokeh.
