Disappointing Experience with Butterfield Bank Services
I am extremely dissatisfied with the services provided by Butterfield Bank, both online and at the branch. I encountered two significant issues that have left me frustrated:
Online Wire Transfer Error: Despite entering the correct details for a wire transfer, the bank claimed I provided an incorrect number. After thorough verification, I confirmed the accuracy of the information. Nevertheless, the bank returned the amount, charging me double the transfer fee—resulting in a loss of 53ci and several wasted days.
Bank Reference Letter: I requested a bank reference letter, providing clear instructions to the officer. However, the reference letter i received after was missing details, the officer overlooked crucial details, and when questioned, she attributed it to my fault. To add to the inconvenience, I had to make a second request incurring an additional fee. Shockingly, they sent me an extra letter, so total it became 3, and making it a total of three fees for a single document, amounting to 90ci.
This has been the worst banking experience, and I am deeply disappointed with the level of service provided by Butterfield Bank.
