Musical Marty 4+

Musical Marty is an interactive application for children to learn basic music fundamentals. It is an app that is meant to be fun and engaging for young children as they begin to build an understanding of musical spatial awareness and mechanics. The patent pending educational design of the app is a great way to introduce music to children. There are 2 basic options for using Musical Marty to teach lessons of musical spatial awareness and basics of music note duration. Both Musical Marty options are interactive ways for parents to engage their children as they learn musical principles. Option 1 of the appliction is "Musical Marty Listens to Music." Using the iPhone/iPad device microphone, an instrument can be played. Musical Marty will identify the note being played by the instrument and position the note on the screen with an animated frog. The note will fall within the C octave scale. When a C note is played the animated frog will appear on the screen and jump in the lower right section of the screen. If a higher note is played the animated frog will appear at a higher section of the screen relative to its place in the octave. The animated frog will jump for the duration of the note. Musical Marty Option 2 is "Musical Marty with Keyboard." This options follows the same principles as Option 1 but creates a virtual on-screen keyboard to allow for children to play notes along the C octave on the screen and see their note visually represented.
