Prisijungiant ir Mac kompiuteryje, ir iTunes Remote programoje, rodomas tas pats keturių skaičių kodas; tai viskas, ko reikia įrenginiams susieti.
Vienintelis skirtumas tarp iTunes 12 ir Music iš vienos pusės, ir senesnių versijų iš kitos, yra tai, kad pirmosiose šis kodas yra rodomas paspaudus siejamo įrenginio ženkliuką, kaip ir praneša programėlė, viršuje iš kairės. iTunes 10 bei 11 šis ženkliukas atsiranda šoninėje vertikalioje juostoje iš kairės ("left sidebar").

Iš esmės, veikia tiek su senesnėmis iTunes versijomis (10 ir 11), tiek su rekomenduojamomis, tik iTunes 10 turi problemų pereinant nuo vieno grojaraščio prie kito, nuo vienos dainos prie kitos viename grojaraštyje. Taip pat, valdant 10, iTunes Remote nerodo "Up Next", atsiradusį iTunes 11, tačiau dauguma funkcijų veikia, kaip ir su "rekomenduojamomis" versijomis.

Ok, but should be modernized
Its ok, but seem like one of neglected apps. For example, you cannot edit playlists or rate songs
