The iPad app doesn’t show any page numbers.

Hi there! Thanks for reaching out about this. ePUBs generally don't have page numbers. Not just on Perlego, but as a rule of thumb in the eBook world. The ePUB reading experience can be customised on Perlego (different fonts and text size, for example) which would make page numbering inconsistent depending on the individual reader.
PDFs in our library will come with page numbers and you are welcome to filter your search to show only this format, however the selection may be more limited.
The major academic referencing guidelines, such as Oxford and Harvard, all suggest using the chapter, section and paragraph number instead for eBooks (we always recommend checking the specific guidelines you have too). While we offer in-text citations to help do this for you, we're still working on a way to make this even easier for those who require page numbers for their research 🙌
