Since Candy Crush Saga arrived on the App Store waaaay back in November 2012, it has arguably become the best-known puzzle series since Tetris.

And as players keep flocking to the series, game-maker King has given us several new games to dive into, like Soda Saga, Jelly Saga and the latest to join the fray – Candy Crush Friends Saga. This new game has got lush 3D graphics to gander at, and gives the titular Friends a starring role.

Still not convinced of the sheer scale of the Candy Crush phenomenon? Here are some fascinating figures straight from King that confirm that these games are, well, kind of a big deal.

The total number of levels in Candy Crush Friends Saga at launch is a whopping 280. And there are plenty more to come, of course.

The folks creating Candy Crush Friends Saga are a diverse bunch. In fact, there are 19 different nationalities on the team in total, hailing from Finland, India, Mexico, Romania, Singapore and Sweden, among many others.

At launch Candy Crush Friends Saga will feature six different ‘champions’: Tiffi, Yeti, Nutcracker, Misty, Red Rabbit and Odus. More will arrive as the game evolves, too.

Every day, over two million levels are passed in Friends Saga’s predecessor, Candy Crush Jelly Saga.

Weirdly, Tuesday is the most popular day to play the second Candy Crush game in the series, Candy Crush Soda Saga.

Also in Candy Crush Soda Saga, over 90 million levels are started every day. Whether they’re all passed is a different matter, of course.

Game maker King estimates that total global play time in Candy Crush Soda Saga to date comes to an incredible 770,000 years.

The most popular time to play the first game, Candy Crush Saga, is after dinner. Because a sweet treat is just what you need after tea, right?

The average number of candies swiped in a day reaches two billion in the first Candy Crush Saga, says King.

Since Candy Crush Saga launched on the App Store in 2012, an incredible six trillion candies have been swiped in the game.

Candy Crush Saga has also been translated into a total of 22 languages since it arrived six years ago.
