Managing secure passwords can be a pain, but LastPass can make the process less so. Here are three tips to help you unlock more from the app.

1. Fill in passwords automatically
Once set up, LastPass can conveniently fill in the login field in apps or websites for you. Confirm your identity through Face ID or Touch ID and the app will take care of populating the correct password. No more cumbersome switching back and forth between apps, copying and pasting passwords. You can enable this feature in your iPhone’s Settings. Go to Passwords & Accounts > AutoFill Passwords and enable this feature. Now all you have to do is tap LastPass and logging in is no longer a chore.

2. Share passwords
Sharing a communal account with family or friends can be nifty for certain services. With LastPass, you can easily share access data with others without them ever seeing the password. If at another time you want to revoke access, you can do that too. In the app, tap the Vault tab and select the appropriate access data. Then tap Share and enter the recipient’s email address – they must also use LastPass for this feature to work. To remove access rights, tap on Manage Share and then choose Unshare.

3. Test your passwords’ strength
Are your passwords as strong as you think they are? LastPass helps you to check exactly that and classifies your access data on a scale. To do this, tap Security and start the Security Challenge. After a short check, you’ll receive a score for your access data. When you tap on Details, the app will show you where you are using weak passwords and which ones you should update. Once you’ve set up LastPass correctly, you’ll appreciate how straightforward it can be to use secure passwords and protect yourself online.
