If you're a frequent traveller, your inbox is likely littered with flight, hotel and rental car confirmations. You’ve got notes scribbled on receipts, in notebooks, on the back of your hand. You volley between airline-specific apps.

TripIt streamlines all of that, aggregating your travel plans in one tidy location.

Simply forward your confirmation emails to the app or allow it to import directly from your inbox. Then stand back and watch as TripIt arranges everything, by trip, in chronological order, complete with confirmation numbers and check-in times – all synced directly with your calendar.

This is what it looks like to (finally!) have all your travel details in one place.

TripIt pulls everything together: flights, hotels, Airbnb rentals, shuttles, trains, dinner reservations and concerts. The app supports confirmations from thousands of booking and planning sites, from travel aggregators to OpenTable, Evite, Fandango and StubHub. You can upload travel documents (passport, driver’s license, TSA Pre, Clear, etc.) so they’re all in one place and view your itinerary offline (handy in airports with spotty Wi-Fi).

TripIt also helps you travel smarter. Have a flight but no hotel? An alert will prompt you to search for lodging with Hipmunk. Not sure whether to take a taxi or public transportation from the airport? TripIt presents all your options – with approximate travel times and prices.

Siri Shortcuts, available in iOS 12 and later, let you access your upcoming flight status and travel plans even faster.

Tap More in the lower navigation bar and choose Siri Shortcuts, or choose the Add to Siri button if you're already looking at an itinerary.

Then pick a custom phrase, like 'flight status', and you’ll be able to use it to ask Siri for the latest on that upcoming red-eye.

Finally, you can share your itinerary with friends and family so they can track you in real time. Which means there’s one more thing you never have to remember: calling to say, “Hi, I’m taking an earlier flight. I’ll be home in time for dinner.”
