This beautiful app is designed to track the waxing and waning of the moon. For many Lunetic is simply a peaceful, grounding tool to better connect you with the night sky but if you practice Ashtanga yoga, full and new moon days often mark days of rests.
Every day, Lunetic presents the moon’s progress as a graphic and a percentage. You can scroll backwards and forwards in time to see how it will wax and wane; and Moon Days (days on which there is either a full or new moon) are marked along the bottom of the app, so you have an at-a-glance reading of when the moon will be at its smallest or largest.
Tap the ‘Astronomia’ button to learn your moonsign for the day, based on your location. You can also activate notifications, so that Lunetic will nudge you when a new or full moon approaches – which is especially useful for yogis who are scheduling in their practice in advance. Moreover, the interface is extraordinary: the background is a tableau of peach, orange and dusty pink, with the moons rendered in white. Reach for the sky.
