Hoping for the best

I used to really love Culture Trip; it was my favorite app for travel. I'm grateful for all the wonderful recommendations from locals and the hidden gems I discovered over the years. However, it seems like they've had to explore new monetization methods beyond ads and sponsored integrations. They've shifted their focus towards offering paid tours, and this paid aspect (at least, from my perspective) has overshadowed everything else. The user experience for those who just want to access a free guide, even an old one, has become unfriendly. I wouldn't mind making a purchase out of love, not because they've pushed me into it. I hope they return to being the unique and caring brand they once were.
