Ratings and Reviews
Good but it needs improvements
Following what I think the application does good and what requires to be improved.
The good:
- Time recording is accurate (or accurate enough). Compared with a professional transponder the recorded time was off of just 2 cents.
- 3D animation of racing line is cool and quite accurate.
- Dual camera recording is a very good feature and the video overlay is also well done.
To be improved:
- The application is not 100% stable, during a day at the race track, the app crashed at least 3 times.
- Start a recording session is not easy as it should be. Often it takes time before having the “Go” button available and very often the recording session fails and it requires to start it again. To be honest, if I didn’t have a passenger with me operating the phone probably I wouldn’t be able to record anything…
- To link your car to a session requires to first record the session and then run the 3D animation. For every session. Why??
- Add a custom race track is very buggy, it gives errors during the creation, then disappear, then appears again.
Overall I think that the basics are good, but the user experience needs to be improved.
