Ratings and Reviews
Not as good as expected for the price
As this is one of the most expensive topographic apps for Norway, one expects it to be the best. Well.. not so in this case. I have tried to download the area maps for offline use for a hike trail to Trolltunga (area of about 10 km in size). The app said to zoom in, as the map is too big to download. So I downloaded the area in two pieces, which was over 300 MB total! One might expect that the map will be very detailed, but no - from zoom level about 3500 m across the screen all text disappears from the map and only bunch of densely packed topography lines remains, so the map is basically useless.
App controls I find rather confusing too. I couldn’t find a way to generate the route from point A to B, as it would be useful to see first what the trail looks like without going there first. No way. Only from your location to A. It is possible to measure the distance between two points as a straight line, which, of course, is better than nothing.
Yet there are better apps for the same functionality that cost less, are less confusing and . Unfortunately, you find out only after you buy one, as there is no way to try it out and then decide if it fits your needs. I do not recommend this one.
