Description
VLC is a free and open source cross-platform multimedia player.
It can play all your movies, shows and music in most formats directly without conversion.
It allows file synchronization with Dropbox, GDrive, OneDrive, Box, iCloud Drive, iTunes, direct downloads and through Wi-Fi sharing as well as streaming from SMB, FTP, SFTP, NFS, UPnP/DLNA media servers and the web.
VLC offers support for advanced subtitles including full SSA compatibility, multi-track audio, playback speed control and rendering through Chromecast.
VLC is completely free and open source.

Are you sure to have version 3.4.8 installed? Based on information provided by Apple, there should be no heating issues left.
Streaming problem since update
Streaming in local network via VLC doesn’t work anymore since update 3.3.11. With version 3.3.10 my device works fine. Thanks for checking and updating. Best regards

Streaming Problem VLC on IOS since last update
I reported rhe same problem some months ago … it was fixed then - now we have the same issue again !
Since the most recent update no more streaming on my home-network from my sat-dreambox. All NOT updated devices without the update are still working perfectly ! Thanks for checking and updating ! It should be SAT-IP ! Not sure though … it is streaming from a Sat-antenna-Dreambox over LAN and worked well for years will all the previous versions.
