Mobilā lietotne "Tīrs ūdens" ir veidota, lai lietotājs var saņemt informāciju par ūdens kvalitāti, veicot nelielu pētījumu un atbildot uz konkrētiem jautājumiem. Lietotājs arī var atpazīt konkrētu augu vai dzīvnieku sugu, kas novērota ūdenstilpnē vai tās tuvumā. Lietotne arī sniedz plašāku informāciju par deviņām ūdenstilpnēm Latvijā un Lietuvā.
Lietotne ir izveidota Eiropas Strukturālo un investīciju fondu mērķa "Eiropas teritoriālā sadarbība" Interreg V-A Latvijas – Lietuvas pārrobežu sadarbības programmas 2014.-2020.gadam Projekta Nr. LLI-349 "Ekotūrisma attīstība Latvijā un Lietuvā, izmantojot ūdens resursus" (Learn Eco Travel) ietvaros.
