Kishi, at its core is a video player that supports external subtitles. It is built specifically to help language learners to acquire vocabulary naturally with using their favorite videos and subtitles.

The idea behind is simple, the most natural way to acquire vocabulary, is to see the same thing over and over again in different contexts, and Kishi makes the whole process as easy as it can be.

All you need to do is get your most beloved contents loaded into Kishi, sit back, relax and enjoy the show, clip the word or phrase you'd like to memorize along the way, Kishi will take care the rest for you. On top of that, for flashcard lovers, your clips can be turned into flashcards backend up customizable spaced repetition system, with a single tap in the deck settings screen, the most streamlined flow out there!

Fun fact, like the flashcard app Anki, the name Kishi also comes from Japanese, it is written as 既視 in kanji, for describing the feeling of Déjà vu. Stop Anki『暗記』 and start Kishi『既視』. happy learning. :)
