Lestrarapp 4+

Útgáfa tvö af lestrarappi fyrir börn. Þuríður Hilmarsdóttir er höfundur fyrri útgáfu. Appið er fyrir börn á aldrinum 5-8 ára og foreldra þeirra.


Leikir eru skiptir upp í þrjá flokka: stafi, orð og setningar.

Hver flokkur inniheldur tvo leiki:
Leikur 1:
Börn heyra hljóðbút frá þjónustu sem breytir texta í íslenskar raddir og velja á milli tveggja svarmöguleika.
Leikur 2:
Börn sjá texta, smella á hljóðnema takkann og reyna að lesa upphátt.

Talgreinir sem er notaður er ekki hannaður fyrir börn. Þess vegna safna ég hljóðbútum frá notendum svo hægt sé að fullkomna talgreinirinn. Það er hægt að slökkva á vistun hljóðbúta undir stillingum.

Version two of reading app for children in Iceland. The previous version is by Þuríður Hilmarsdóttir. The app is for children of age 5-8 and their parents.

Games are split into three categories: Letters, words and sentences.


Each category contains two types of games:
Game1:
Children hear an audio clip generated by an lifelike speech-to-text in Icelandic. There are two options to choose from, only one is correct.
Game2:
Children see text on the screen, press the microphone button and try to read aloud.

The Speech-to-text service used is not designed for children, that's why I collect the voices so I can train a better suiting model for children in the future. This feature can be turned off in settings.
