eigenTunes, founded by a group of science & engineering enthusiasts in 2014, later evolved into a company in 2016 and was given the Chinese name "亦听" (Yì Tīng).

The mission of eigenTunes is to make everything better through music. We appreciate the line from Chapter 8 of Laozi's "Tao Te Ching": "The highest good is like water. Water benefits all things without contention. It stays in the place where no one else wants to be, and thus it comes closest to the Tao." Inspired by this, we continually use music to nourish various forms of animation, videos, games, TV shows, radio dramas, and more, which then converge to create what we call a "musical metaverse."

Moreover, as we were founded by a group of science & engineering enthusiasts, we have a strong inclination toward software and hardware development. This led us to create our exclusive playback platform, which you see as the app, as well as our unique playback device called the "eigenTunes Pinecone."
