On the trail of a missing person, Detective Orpheus begins his search at the last place she was seen – a terrifyingly sinister manor.
This is Identity V and, yes, things are about to enter very unnerving territory, very quickly. In this place of menacing darkness and lurking shadows, Orpheus discovers a diary containing scrawled erratic notes eluding to a strange game played there. Could it be related to the case?
Now there’s something important you should know about Orpheus – he has a special ability to recreate past events. So, in a bid for the truth, he relives the game held at the manor – and nothing is as it seems.
Reliving it is like playing a game of tag (albeit the creepiest game of tag you’ll ever partake in). You’ll discover four Survivors desperately trying to escape the stuff-of-nightmares Hunter.
In their bid for freedom beyond the gates, the Survivors must band together to decode cipher machines located throughout the misty manor grounds. But to add to woes, the decoding process is perilously time-consuming, frustrating and tense in equal measure.
The fear is palpable as characters glance behind them, their heartbeats quickening and thumping. When a cipher is decoded, there’s no time for dilly dallying in celebration – someone knows what you’re up to and if you’re not quick enough, that scary someone will be behind you before you know it. If a Survivor is caught – it’s literally game over for them.
But get this: you can completely flip the script and become the Hunter yourself. Toy with Survivors as they frantically run around and pick them off one by one – just remember that you’ll be solo in your hunt.
Throughout the game, you’ll encounter new characters, often mysterious, even oddly comical – try to use their unique abilities to salvage your escape operation.
Navigating the grey and glum world of Identity V is tense stuff. As the story unravels, you’ll learn more about the characters who participated in the mysterious game, and find yourself digging deeper and deeper to unearth the narrative’s complex intertwining secrets.
To make it to the end you’ll need nerves of steal and swift reactions. Heed this warning though: whatever you do, always watch your back…
