Description
This app is designed to support visual learning and literacy development for students who are deaf and hard of hearing.
Erasmus “Deaf” Smith and Emily West are two famous Texas heroes profiled in this storybook, presented in poetic format. Discover their roles in a series of Texas Revolution historical events that occurred between 1835 and 1836, brought to life in American Sign Language, Lengua de Señas Mexicana, and English.
This storybook includes a lesson plan for teachers and students, who will learn more about the different battles between the Tejan and Mexican armies that led to Texas becoming an independent republic. Instructional activities cover four content areas – Social Studies, English Language Arts, American Sign Language, and Social-Emotional Learning.

20+ vocabulary words signed and fingerspelled in LEARN mode.
Page-by-page ASL videos with English text and Spanish vocabulary in READ mode.
