If you’re looking for an enormous library of classical and contemporary sheet music, look no further than Nkoda: the sheet music library.
This app features 30 million pages across 110,000 titles – priced like a music streaming subscription. So, if you’re a musician and need a lot of sheet music in your day-to-day, it could save you quite a bit of money.
Nkoda’s library includes contemporary music, too; we found Radiohead, Ariana Grande and even Iron Maiden. As well as instrument-specific collections for those who specialise.
Sheet music works really well on mobile devices, especially on iPad: it’s the perfect size to place on a piano or music stand, or to have next to you when you’re working out how to play a specific guitar part.
And it enables you to do things that you can’t do with paper: for example, if you have a Bluetooth foot pedal, you can turn the pages without taking your hands off your instrument.
That’s not all Nkoda enables you to do: you can highlight, annotate and share key passages, create playlists of your favourite pieces and find interesting new music through the useful, personalised Discovery tool.
Plus it works offline, so you can go into Airplane Mode to ensure notifications don’t ping in the middle of a performance.
