Description

• Sermon Planner helps you to properly plan your sermons, lessons, and speaking engagements.

• You define when you preach or teach in Blocks and it will generate lessons based on the settings you choose.

• Each lesson allows you to set most of the details you need to stay on track with preparation: scriptures, main ideas, teaching / sermon series, checklists, and notes.

• Any number of teaching and sermons series can be defined based on when the series will be presented. You can even define various catch all series that don’t have a definite beginning or end.

• Sample checklists are provided to get you started. Those can be modified or removed. You can define checklists that support your workflow.

• View upcoming lessons in the calendar or through their associated teaching blocks and teaching series.

• Create backups of your database.

• Export backups of your database.

• Import database backups.

• Restore database backups.

Limitations:
• It is not yet possible to change the order of checklist items.

• Sermon Planner DOES NOT yet sync data between devices. I NEED this feature myself and plan to implement it the moment the capability is added to Swift Playgrounds 4 on iPad.

• Once you create a teaching block, you cannot change how or when it repeats. This is by design to prevent lessons from inadvertently getting deleted. To solve this, set the end date of the Block to just after the last lesson of the old day / repeat schedule. Then create a new block with the new parameters.

• If you delete the app, your data is gone forever.

• It is the product of my creativity and workflow needs.

What’s New

Version 0.1.8

# Release Notes
## Sync Data Over iCloud
- When signed into iCloud on your devices and have iCloud Drive enabled, data will automatically sync between devices.
- This has removed the need to backup and restrore the database when mobing data between devices.
- You can still make a backup file, but the ability to restore a backup has been removed.

## Timezone Support
- Teaching blocks will have a time zone assigned to it.
- The default timezone can be set in the app settings. It will default to whatever time zone you are in when you first launch the app after update.
- You can assign a different timezone to each block.
- The display of lessons in lists will be based on your current timezone.

## Shift Block Dates By X Days
- You can now shift the dates of a block (including the start date and indiviual lesson dates) up to seven days forward or backward.
- This applies to blocks that repeat weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.
- This can resolve problems with database updates.
- A class that you teach might change from one day to another, so shiting the block to a new date will preserve your data.

## Hide Lessons
- You can now hide or skip lessons.
- This prevents them from showing up on the calandar or in the various lists.
- When there are hidden lessons, various views will allow you to show when by pressing a "eye" icon in the upper right.

## Delete Lessons
- You can now remove a lesson and its associated data from the database.
- This can be used to remove duplicates that were previousy created in error.
- You might also want to erase a lesson's data and start over.
- If that date should have a lesson, it will automatically create a new / blank lesson for that date once the original is deleted.

## Miscelanious Bugs Fixed
- Blocks should no longger create duplicate lessons for a particular date.
- The month labels in the blocks view should be more stable.
- Various visual tweaks.

## Known Issues
- In old versions changing timezones might cause duplicate lessons. I have attempted to automatically merge those duplicates, but it might fail. If the teaching block is too messed up, you might have to delete it and start over. Sorry.
- The ability to restore a backup has been removed. Backups can still be made and downloaded in case you want to archive the .sqlite database file.
- While the month labels in the blovks view are more stable, there are still rendering issues. I need to rewrite how this section is drawn.
