5 winning Candy Crush combos

Tap for board-clearing moves every Candy Crusher should know.

There are levels in Candy Crush where being pretty good at the game just doesn't cut it. Often you've got to spot the patterns, bide your time and make the perfect swipe to progress, and that takes skill.

To take advantage when the stars (and the candies) align in your favour the following game-changing combos will definitely come in handy.

Striped Candy + Colour Bomb

Works in: Candy Crush Saga, Soda Saga, and Jelly Saga

Combining a striped candy and a colour bomb turns all like-coloured pieces on the board the same colour and turns them striped. If you’ve got a lot of candy pieces that match the colour of your striped piece, this combo has the potential to clear most of the board for you.

It’s especially useful for clearing out tough-to-reach corners, like those found in the infamous level 65 of the original Candy Crush game.

Striped Candy + Wrapped Candy

Works in: Candy Crush Saga, Soda Saga, and Jelly Saga

These two pieces work together to clear a path three rows wide, both horizontally and vertically. Given how easy this one is to create, it’s an ideal way to break up chocolate, bubble gum, and other types of obstacles that keep replicating.

Colouring Candy + Wrapped Candy

Works in: Soda Saga and Jelly Saga

Swapping a colouring candy with a regular candy transforms all regular candies of the same colour to match the colouring candy. Even better, it also causes those pieces to take on the form of the regular candy.

If you’re trying to break through obstacles that require you to hit them several times, create a wrapped candy next to a colouring candy to break through multiple layers in one move.

Candy Fish + Colouring Candy

Works in: Soda Saga and Jelly Saga

Candy fish only get rid of one candy at a time, but an army of them can do major damage. The same strategy of combining a colouring candy with a wrapped candy works with candy fish.

Fish are drawn to bottles and other objects hidden beneath the surface, so use this combo to reveal gummy bears and other treats.

Colour Bomb + Colour Bomb

Works in: Candy Crush Saga, Soda Saga, and Jelly Saga

Getting two colour bombs next to each other isn’t an easy feat, but it’s possible. If you can pull this off, all candies clear off your board instantly and all obstacles lose a layer.

This one may be hard to line up, but it’s worth working toward if you get the chance, especially if you have a lot of bombs, licorice, or other single-hit obstacles in play.

Bonus tip: Colouring Candy + Colour Bomb

Works in: Soda Saga and Jelly Saga

This combo may appear to have the same effect as combining two colour bombs, but it deals more damage to blockers by clearing multiple layers rather than just one.

If this opportunity presents itself, make sure you take advantage.
