Disney Heroes: Battle Mode

Who’d win in a fight: Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck? Put your prediction to the test in Disney Heroes: Battle Mode, where you’ll assemble a squad of Disney characters (along with pals from Pixar and the Muppets) and go toe-to-toe with a rival crew.

Balance your team by including both a damage-dealer (Jack-Jack) and a defensive tank (Chief Bogo).

Why all the strife among this upbeat bunch? Blame it on Wreck-It Ralph, who accidentally unleashed evil, glitched-out versions of Mr. Incredible, Zootopia’s Judy Hopps, Fozzie Bear and others. It’s up to you to build a Disney dream team capable of untangling this buggy skulduggery.

Here are a few tips to help you set things straight – and top the multiplayer leaderboards. May the best person, mouse or duck win!

Take control

Fighting hands-free by tapping the Auto button is effective when facing weak opponents, but to beat stronger foes, switch to manual control. You don’t want Daisy Duck automatically busting out her devastating temper-tantrum attack when there’s only one wounded enemy left. Hold onto that move until you’re facing a fresh batch of baddies in the next wave!

Level it out

Have a soft spot for The Lion King’s Simba and Nala? They are adorable, but don’t focus on powering up only one or two favourites. Low-level characters can get knocked out easily, which’ll leave the rest of the team facing insurmountable odds. Upgrade new additions to your squad using XP drinks, and try to keep all of your characters’ levels as even as possible.

Worried about everyone surviving? Bring a hero like Felix, whose hammer heals his weakest ally.

Be elite

Once you’ve reached Team Level 11, head over to the Elite tab (at the bottom of the city map) to replay stages with tougher enemies but greater rewards. It’s a surefire way to earn hero chips, which you can use to evolve your favourite characters into even more powerful champions.

Raid to save time

If you want a buff-boosting badge but are missing a crafting item, you can replay a battle to get it. But there’s an easier way: grab those handy raid tickets that are occasionally dropped as loot during a campaign. These digital items let you instantly grab rewards from a level you’ve already finished – no need to fight!
