Fans of the spiky blue blur will have a blast helping him nab rings and skip over obstacles – but beating our high-score in this challenge will require serious focus.

Simply surviving won’t do it. To rack up a whole heap of points, take out enemies in quick succession for a valuable combo boost. Keep an eye on the counter to see how much time you have to smash your next enemy and keep the chain going.

The dash ability – which you fuel by collecting the glowing blue orbs – is a surefire way to score easy points. Once you’ve filled your dash meter, you can trigger it to sprint, risk-free, at breakneck speeds. So be sure to gather those orbs!

Obstacles, enemies and items are tightly packed on several sections of this track, so practice switching between jumping and rolling. If you want to keep your run intact (and watch your score rise), it’s crucial to ace the transition from jumping to hit those rings and bees to rolling under barricades and crushing crabs.
