Object removal & photo eraser

You take great photos. Your Camera Roll is an eye-catching smorgasbord of cool photography. And yet, annoyingly, there’s always something that’s not quite right.

You’ve snapped an amazing shot of that iconic building, but there’s a trail of pesky pedestrians bobbing along at the bottom. Finally, a family group shot where everyone has their eyes open, but wait… no, the cat’s photobombed it. But there’s an easy fix for these and other photo fails: TouchRetouch.

After opening the app, tap Album and browse Photos for the one you want to edit. Then, follow these three easy steps.

A lovely cooking-while-camping scene. But the cooler to the left is a little distracting.
Select Object Removal at the bottom of the image, then tap Brush and colour over the cooler. Tip: pinch in with two fingers onscreen to zoom in so you can accurately colour in the area you want.
Once you’ve finished colouring in, tap the GO icon to make the cooler completely disappear.

TouchRetouch analyses the image data around whatever it is you want to remove and automatically retouches the photo using surrounding elements.

What about fixing something more complicated?

If you want to adjust a larger area or make more detailed repairs in crowded compositions, try using the app’s manual tools.

Quick Repair and Line Removal do exactly as they say. And with Clone Stamp, you can tap and hold a portion of the image you want to copy and then paste it onto the area you want to fix. Neat!

TouchRetouch makes light work of your photo gate crashers or imperfections. A must-have in any shutterbug’s photography arsenal.
