Quizlet prioritises money over students
I have used this app since year 7 and it helped me so much, it increased my grades and was free to use. I’d recommend it to all my peers and their grades would go up too. This app helped with learning a new language. However, now we have to pay to use the most important features in the app (learn and test). It’s clear to me that Quizlet only cares about money and prioritises money over the students that rely on this app. Not all students can afford to pay to use Quizlet now and honestly I’m beyond disappointed. This is really inconsiderate to the students in tight financial situations. At first the app was useable if you didn’t pay for anything but now all the important features are blocked by a paywall, not everyone wants or needs all the features of Quizlet plus. Moving to a 3rd world country meant that I knew I wouldn’t have enough recourses but I was comfortable knowing I at least had Quizlet only to be disappointed in the end. And with things becoming more expensive all around the world due to the Russia and Ukraine war, they couldn’t have chose a worse time to do this, so inconsiderate. I’m furious.
