Yousician: Learn & Play Music

Guitar, Bass & Singing Lessons

View

Picking up a new instrument can be an intimidating experience. But with Yousician, no matter what level you’re at, you can learn the guitar, piano, bass, ukulele or singing in a way that’s intuitive, encouraging and fun. Short lessons by real music teachers show you different techniques, before handing over to you to play along with the hits.

What we love: The app’s audio recognition technology listens to you play, providing real-time feedback on your timing and accuracy. Slow the track down to practise, or navigate back to repeat the same section until you’ve nailed that solo. The music notation is easy to pick up, making practice fun and instantly rewarding.

Pitchy or pitch perfect? Yousician will let you know how you’re doing.

Quick tip: Head to the song library to choose a song – whatever your jam, you have everything from Billie Eilish to Metallica here. Tap the tuning fork icon for a quick tune up before launching into your next number.

Meet the creator: Yousician was founded in 2010 by Chris Thür and Mikko Kaipainen, whose mission is to make musicality as common as literacy. They’re also behind GuitarTuna, a hugely popular instrument-tuning app.
