Good idea, but not functional yet. // It’s nicer now

Previous review: The App does not work in the least. I give it two stars because of the concept and the idea. The project has potential but today, it is absolutely useless. The OCR is just chaos and gibberish. The loading times of pages is too long. The interface is promising and hopefully this will actually get good one day.

Update: The pdf fix and the epwing support are massive. Absolutely love being able to load my dictionary. Also, I want to upgrade my review and add stars because the OCR has been improved quite a bit since, and it’s legit very nice now. It’s very usable now. Impressive updates.
I read the developer’s reddit post and he said this is a hobby project: wow! Neat job. Congrats. As the developer said on reddit that he is open to ideas, I put forward this:
1) he already is thinking about integration with Anki, and that would be HUGE.
2)Maybe if plausible, adding support for Apple Pencil could prove very pleasant and useful for highlighting and scribbling (through apple’s PencilKit maybe?)
3)although not critical for manga, support for horizontal text is still coming, I guess?

Thank you for your feedback, it's unfortunately that the app was not useful to you. Because of the nature of OCR some times is hard to get good consistent results. I'm exploring some options to improve the results but this may take some time to implement.

For now here are some tips to get better results:
1. Try different zoom levels. Some times changing the zoom level can improve the results.
2. Select only a small section of the screen. Selecting a bigger area is more prone to generating garbage in the output.
3. When selecting a region of text, try your best to not include any speech bubble borders. Including parts of the speech bubble may cause the output to include some garbage. Looking forward to improving the app! Please stay tune for updates.
