Descripción

Ship Structure is an educational mobile experience that teaches ship terminology using a robustly detailed and fully interactive 3D model. The application contains three experiences:

- a guided tour that introduces the user to the components that make up a ship's structure,

- a free explore mode that allows the user to explore the 3D model freely by simply selecting the different items to learn more,

- a scavenger hunt that challenges the user to find each item listed on the ship components list.

App Features:
- extremely detailed ship model with over 20 interactive components
- clear and concise industry-standard definitions for each component
- beautiful graphics and animations
- powerful and intuitive touch interactions including seamless model rotation and scaling
- easy-to-follow instructions for each experience
- powerful, accurate, and target-free model placement and interaction using ARKit
- 3D mode as an alternative to ARKit

This application was developed at Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, inc. as a learning tool for the Apprentice School Ship Construction course. However, this free app is an excellent tool for ANYONE that wants to learn about ship structure.
