An awesome app to guide u
This is too great for those who love to watch Chinese books and drama
I'll search on the books/drama that I would like to watch before I really start ,If there is a lot of bad review I'll probably not going to watch it. It save my time on watching ridiculous books and dramas.
50/50
(Side note: I did not write this comment to drag the Douban app. I am just commenting on my honest review and what I have experienced.)
I actually think that is app is a 50/50 situation in my opinion. It is not the best but is also not the worst when you are looking up on reviews for the things you want to watch in order to prevent wasting your time. This is because some of the reviews on the app are not based on true heart. Some haters of the movie’s actor will go to Douban and rate as low as possible (giving it a 1 star on the star rating system or commenting/spread rumours) even they have not watched the movie or the tv series yet. The haters doing these actions is to prevent the heat of the movie or tv series to keep raising and make normal audience think that it is a rotten film and will not watch it. After doing these, the haters will contact marketing numbers in the social media and make “this film is rotten with just 1 star or low rating” news/topic become viral and confuse normal audience to let them think that it is a horrible film especially when the film’s actors are the ones with huge stars and fame. That way, the haters have achieved their goal to drag the name of the film stars which is totally unforgivable after what the actors have worked behind the scenes. Of course, if the film is originally horrible, then the low ratings will not be a thing to discuss. But if the film is okay but haters trying to make it seem horrible, then I think this action should be taken care of because it is not fair for the actors to be drag down after all of the hard work they have put into in one film. Especially the workers of the film too. I hope this action is stopped by the Douban company and give the HONEST REVIEW of the films.
