Description

"Creatures Such as We" is a philosophical interactive romance novel by Lynnea Glasser, where your choices control the story. It's entirely text-based—without graphics or sound effects—and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.

Living on the moon is lonely, and stressful, and exhausting. Video games have always offered you an escape to a better life. The easy, happy life you wish you had. Which makes it so frustrating when the game you've been playing ends badly. But you have a chance to figure it out, because the next tourist group is the designers. You can debate with them about art, inspire them with the beauty of outer space, get closer to any one specific designer in particular, and finally find out how to get the ending you always wanted.

Meticulously crafted and heart warming...

I don’t usually review games, but when I do, it’s usually the fact that the game itself touched my soul or it just have some really great gameplay. No doubt, “A Creature Such as We” has definitely touched my soul. The storyline was fantastic as it really makes you “feel” what the protagonist is feeling. I couldn’t get enough of these, I think I’m going to try out more and more of the games developed by “Choice of Games LLC”. Decent jobs by you guys!!!

Fun, beautiful, yet oddly painful.

At first I had a hard time understanding what was going on because the world in outer space was too hard too comprehend. But after giving a second chance and reading it through carefully and searching up any words that were confusing, the game became really like reality to me. I loved how challenging it was and how you really had to think your choices through so that you'll get the result you expect. Well, in the end, my ending was happy yet sad. I mean, I chose James to like as a romantic interest but in the end, he's sent back to earth and I have to stay in the moon for a few years before my retirement or whatever. I was excited and happy that I can still interact with James at the end through mail and the multiplayer version game of Creatures Such As We in the game, but it was sad because I really wanted to pursue the relationship physically, you know, hold hands, hug, kiss, and just be together side by side.
(T_T) なぜだよ?!oh well, it's a satisfactory ending. I only played it once because the story was long. But I'll definitely play it again and see if there are any more endings to choose once I'm feeling less heartbroken than right now. T^T
