Genshin Impact - V4.5 12+

The anniversary rewards are... yikes so yeah, take your 1 star from me Mihoyo.

Edit: So after the whole anniversary fiasco I decided to change my rating again. I’ve seen an improvement in Mihoyo, I hope they keep it up. The 2.4 patch looks very interesting and I can’t wait! I’ve been loving the new rerun system as well, although as a moderate spender on this game, I wish this also mean they will give out more freemogems soon too. If I have one more complain, I wish Mihoyo marketed their female characters as less waifu-ish that need a knight (aka traveler) in shining armor to make their life more meaningful because ever since 2.1 patch, none of the female characters actually have a serious lore behind their story other than going on a date with traveler (which is yikes, this is definitely not a fanservice we want, it reduces the character’s value for me and makes them appear shallow). Don’t let me start on Raiden Shogun’s quest, it was overall very disappointing considering she’s an archon and we didn’t learn about her lore at all. Anyways, they did a great job with Itto’s quest. I genuinely about to pull for him if not for Yae Miko. Also please don’t ruin Yae Miko’s quest and the writers need to stop being lazy and actually wrote a meaningful story for once rather than recycling the idea of previous quest aka a date again. In the end of the day, this is just my opinion. I wish everyone that was reading this a very good day.

[Edit: 2.2 livestream changed my mind honestly. The anniversary seems like a small problem now (thanks for the free glider i guess). I’m genuinely looking forward to the next patch. Still hoping and praying for an improvement in the story writing and the character writing in the future. Can’t wait to see Thoma!!!]

I’ve been playing genshin since launch and played on two different servers. I love this game very VERY much. I spent a lot of money on both accounts, buying both the monthly pack and the battle pass and sometimes the top up crystals. But with how the company has been cheap with the anniversary rewards and not even bothering to communicate with the players on what’s happening really left a sour taste in my mouth. As good as the game is, if a company stops communicating with the players, then that’s a bad sign. If a company that earned so much in just the first year couldn’t even give us at least 20 or 30 pulls total across the anniversary events….it’s heartbreaking really. I love genshin. I love the first two chapters. I love the characters and the whole world around them very very much but this is just sad. That star rating is as thanks for making me go f2p HAHAHAHA

As a 1.0 player now we at 2.8, i’ve fallen in love with genshin the moment i started the game and pick my twin, i already knew im gonna love this game. it was such a new experience and really refreshing, i still remember everday i play genshin its so exciting, bc everything is so new, even though people complained zhongli not what they expected,anniversary reward was bs, and the skintone issue, with the community mixed w positive and negative community. those issues doesn’t effect my love for genshin bc at the end of the day, i always login into genshin even tho im tired or busy of the day, that’s how much i got attached with teyvat world. my safe space no one in reality in it. only me and my favourite world and people. i really appreciate the work and effort mihoyo put in the game. even people said the game rip off, did u even see the quality? imagine behind the game there are a lot works to be done, from the smallest to the biggest works, i’ve play a lot of games to know the quality and genshin is the quality of game that’s shouldn’t be free. im so happy mihoyo improved a lot you can see their teasers and cinematics are so amazing. of course there are some lacking but still the whole big picture genshin is literally another world. i love genshin and i will always play genshin until the end. - Traveller from Asia
