Description
Managing livestock demands accurate and fast decisions for a successful operation. Nowadays, managers rely on either inaccurate visual inferences or expensive tools for acquiring fast answers to in-farm issues. GrazeOK is a user friendly electronic version of the Oklahoman grazing stick which allows fast and proper estimation of stock density, number of pastures, grazing and rest days by simply measuring plant height and canopy cover with a yard stick and inputting them in your phone.
How it works:
1. Download GrazeOK,
2. With a yard stick, measure forage height and canopy cover (optional),
3. Input your operation details: forage species, livestock, grazing system (continuous, rotational, etc),
4. Get proper stock density, number of pastures, grazing and rest days for your operation. The results will be displayed in the screen of your phone and emailed to you (optional).
