So far so good
I actually really like this app so far primarily its privacy features. My favorite is the “allow from anyone” toggle because I used to get so many spam messages from telemarketers/people I didn’t know (idk why someone must’ve sold my number somewhere). Plus the fact that it doesn’t show when I’m online - perfect so I don’t feel pressured to reply immediately to people just because I’m currently online talking to someone else. These are both features I used to wish WhatsApp/Telegram had so I’m so glad Signal has them. Definitely has room to improve but I’m satisfied so far.
Idk why it keeps lagging
I installed this app on my phone and used it for a quite some time but it didn’t lag that much. I didn’t do anth special on my ipad but strangely i can’t use this app on my ipad. At first, it was the same as the signal i installed on my phone. Then, when i opened like a week or two later, it lagged and i can’t click the chatting group bcuz when i click the icon, it loaded for like 1-2 mins and just turned off itself. I repeated this process several times and decided to delete and download it again. As I reinstalled this app, this app worked like normal for only that day then now I can’t send anth using this bcuz when i select the video, it turns off itself. I’m still using this app and now reinstalling bcuz I need this app for my business but i won’t recommend this app to anybody as long as this problem is not solved.
Bugs fixing
There are so many bugs in this app. Save to for long essay. 1. Every time there is a new version for the update, our message cannot be sent or just “one tick”. Imagine, what if we are in any urgent or emergency but the apps cannot be used, however. This kind of incident can be prevented previously. Please improvise another way to remind us about the update, maybe you guys could change the color, a star mark, or else. 2. Every time after updated, the profile picture of the second party can not be seen. 3. Some pictures can't just directly send from the apps, we need to send them through via gallery. Which is bring us to make a redundant move. 4. Can't highlight or “star mark” an important message or favorite message that we wish to retrieve easily. Hope you guys pay attention and fix it ASAP.
