I'll open this app to check one notification and somehow lose two hours, that's basically the TikTok experience. The For You page is scary accurate, like it knows what I'm into before I even fully realize it myself. Never really used an app where the algorithm feels this personalized. Editing tools built into the app are actually really good too, I've made stuff on here that looks more polished than what I make on actual editing apps. The sounds/trends thing is fun as well, easy to hop on trends without needing to overthink content. Only downside is it's genuinely addictive to the point where I have to set app timers just to control myself lol. Also feel like the ad frequency has gone up a lot lately, and sometimes lives or shopping content take over the feed more than I'd like. Occasionally the app lags or crashes if my phone's been running for a while without a restart. Still, it's one of the few apps I open without even thinking, it's just become a habit at this point. Entertaining, easy to use, and always something new to see.

I am extremely disappointed with TikTok’s moderation system. It is completely inconsistent and unfair. Harmless comments even something as simple as a smiling cat sticker are being filtered for no valid reason, while explicit, abusive, and inappropriate comments are allowed to remain without any action. What is even more frustrating is the way videos are flagged. Content that clearly follows the guidelines gets marked as a violation without explanation. Even after submitting a reasonable appeal with proper justification and evidence, the appeal gets rejected without transparency. Meanwhile, inappropriate and overly sexual content continues to stay on the platform without being taken down. At the same time, educational or meaningful content such as reminders or positive messages gets unfairly penalized. This system feels biased, unreliable, and poorly managed. TikTok seriously needs to review and fix its moderation policies because right now, it is failing its users. The AI system is also extremely flawed. Simple, harmless videos like casually showing yourself drinking water can get flagged for ridiculous reasons, such as not including irrelevant elements like a “yellow bag,” even when the content has nothing to do with it. This makes no sense and shows how poorly the system understands context. This system feels biased, unreliable, and badly managed. TikTok seriously needs to fix its moderation and AI because right now, it is failing its users.
