Becon - Smart Safety Alerts 4+

Becon is the smart safety app that uses technology to privately protect your everyday journeys & activities, including walks, runs, cycles and more.

Quick, simple, and totally private to use, Becon detects when you need assistance automatically. The app will check in on you with a timed notification and only alerts your emergency contacts if no response is received from you by the end of the timer.

Becon doesn’t require you to physically interact with your device to send alerts when needed, so is effective in the case of accidents, assault/attacks, medical emergencies & unexpected events which leave you incapacitated, unconscious or separated from your device.

Tap to activate the app and Becon’s smart safety technology monitors your device until you get where you’re going safely, at which point it turns off automatically.
Becon monitors your journey or activity for unusual changes in the speed, motion, or location of your device, which could signal a potential safety issue:

STOPPED MOVING - If your device stops moving for an unusually long time.

HIGH SPEED - If your device starts moving much faster than expected.

OFF ROUTE - If your device deviates significantly from your intended route.

DISCONNECTED - If Becon loses connection to your device for an extended period.

If an unusual change is detected, then a timed notification will appear on your device checking you are ok. If you do not respond to the check in notification by the end of the timer, then your pre-selected emergency contacts are automatically alerted via SMS, with a message containing your location and the reason for the alert.

Becon is different to any other safety or emergency alert app because it is:
